    The Borgo Scopeto has been beautifully restored while remaining all the elegance of the past. From this corner of paradise you can see the Mangia Tower and Siena’s cathedral in the distance behind the gentle rolling hills, which is a short drive from the hotel.

    In Borgo Scopeto you take a step back into history in a refined and charming residence in the pristine countryside where the only voice to be heard is the voice of nature. The estate was for five centuries the residence of the famous Sozzini dynasty and is today one of the most exclusive hotels in the area and guests can be sure of a unique experience.

    The hotel has 58 elegant rooms with all modern comforts which have lost none of their original 14th-century charm. Each room has air conditioning, LCD satellite TV, Internet and a safe. The well-appointed marble and travertine bathrooms have shelves, a magnifying mirror, hair dryer, bath tub or shower. All the rooms are different, some have an independent entrance and overlook the gardens, and others have stunning views of Siena’s countryside or of the charming little village. One similarity with the rooms though is that they all will make guests feel like they have stepped back into the Middle Age.

    In the “La Tinaia” restaurant, in the old cellars of the Borgo, each detail contributes to create a romantic atmosphere. The furnishings and the decor blend into the typical Sienese style of the premises and the menu is a delight of genuine local and regional flavors with traditional recipes presented with an original twist.
